Supposing even if it was true I don't think it is a felony in a democratic country. If this was the case US would have sued huge media giants like Newsweek and Time. They don't always publish with articles favoring the state. You can even find cartoon jokes on politicians. Infact I think Bush must have been a president for whome the most jokes are cracked on. On May 01, the police arrested him at his home for reasons that remain confidential. A young Maldivian citizen with a descent status and a highly responsible job, he has not been charged with a crime.

This is a downfall that deserves close attention in the technology community. I think the bottom line is that the state wants more power to snoop on the internet. Heard it through the grapevine they also have a tendency to hire foreign hackers to do their dirty work. We've also got situations that concentrates a tremendous amount of surveillance over the phones, residents and social gatherings.

It remains unclear why he was arrested. His friends speculate that it might be because he went to a reformists gathering and took pictures. What's unusual is that nobody with any real knowledge of the situation can talk about it. Right now, the public has almost none of the necessary details about why the police is interested in Mr Faiz.

Insignificant

In Hijri or Islamic calendar today (12th Rabi`-ul-Awwal) is the birthday of Prophet Mohammed, for this reason it's a public holiday declared by the state. You've heard people on the news claiming that the next nuclear war or cutting down rainforests or sisting in releasing hideous quantities of pollution into the atmosphere threatens to end the world.

Fools.

The Earth was built to last. It is a 4,550,000,000-year-old, 5,973,600,000,000,000,000,000-tonne ball of iron. It has taken more devastating asteroid hits in its lifetime than you've had hot dinners, and lo, it still orbits merrily. But this one's different, it becomes obvious that this not your average comic book movie. This is a flick that doesn't pretend that the world's problems can be squeezed into spandex outfits and all about defeating bad guys to make the world a better place. You gotta be kidding me.

No, Sin City makes all the the viscous and awful facts of the world bigger and ominous than they could ever possibly be. In doing so, it intimidates you with its constraints. The nice guys and bad guys both slaughter each other, and neither of them can be counted on to fail. In fact, the only thing which really matter is the perspective angle from where the shot is being taken.

And supposing even if you were an average hollywood moviegoer, I'm sure you'd love tits and bullets. My advice to you; go for it, you won't regret. It's only been a week since it's out and I know it won't be easy to get hold of a good copy. If you want a copy, you can contact Senn (311412). One might even trigger an interest in those events and do own research. I woudn't deny the fact I was a victim myself.
Most of the conspiracies had connection to each other. For an instance; An alleged secret society called Priory of Sion, Leonardo da Vinci's unrevealed secrets, secret documents about the nature and whereabouts of the Holy Grail which supposedly disprove fundamental christian doctrines, secrets of christian catholic group called Opus Dei & it's influence. I don't think the Pope would have been very happy with what he did of christian history. I also have my own theory on this. I think he's backed by Bin Laden. I think he funded the author so that people would start to realise how bogus and unauthentic christianity is.
Anyway apart from this hocus pocus stuff, I found an interesting number. 1.618, also known as The Divine Proportion, Phi, The Golden Number, The Golden Ratio. I walked in for my doctor's appointment, said hi, to the receptionist and started going through the formalities when I looked up and there she was. Well, there it was is more like it.
A tooshie. Not just any tush, but a kinda nice tush. Specifically, it was a kinda an arse that was encased in a pair of stylish & see-through light white pants. I was more than a little amazed, because a hospital was the last place where I expected such a scene where you see a arse-parade around repeatedly bending over to grab more prescriptions from a file so they can be put in a rack.
I looked away trying not to stare, but I kept glancing back up at her, unintentionally. There's something about moments like this where you have to memorise, atleast long enough to be able to imagine till you reach the next toilet. With a few more glances I could clearly see the undergarment that's also not associated with such a descent work place (except for hospital in pr0ns).
I came across a theory made by a Neurobiologist Prof. Jerome Y. Lettvin, What the Frog's Eye Tells the Frog's Brain. From his experiment he demostrated out by recording electrical impulses on the optical nerve, the frog retina is constructed in such a way that it identifies parts of the visual scene that are prominent. For example, it's retina is very keen in focusing a black spot against slow-moving background, because mostly it eats small dark insects. It's also good at identifying dark looming objects, because it needs to avoid it's predators. It's pretty intuitive, when you think about it. Human eyes have become good at seeing the things that are prominent to our continuation of life or existence.
So what's important to a man's survival? Well, from a offspring perspective, finding a spouse who can successfully bear his younger ones. Apprently, the visible characteristics of such a woman would be her curves. Breast curves, hip curves, butt curves. So I think the human vision is designed in such a way that it could pick these curves out and make them easier to see. Just like the frogs my eyes were just looking out for well-being. It identified a conspecific who might bear my children.
The rest of the brain starts functioning. Moral values, invasion of privacy, social decency.. etc. If I stared a bit longer I might have asked her to copulate and see if we the above biological experiment was right on us. So I took my eyes off her. But I won't apologise for looking. It's in my nature.
Later on when I was done with my examination and was on my way out I saw her walking pass by. But this time what I noticed was an elderly person, a person who I think would be more conscious about the social values and stuff. He wasn't only staring, his wilt old raising head turned to crane forward to get a better view as she walked down the corridor. If this ain't stone cold proof, I don't know what would be.

Freedom of Speech

Oscar host Chris Rock mocks at President Bush in his opening monologue at the Academy Awards. Here's what he said:

"I'm not going to bash Bush here tonight. I saw 'Fahrenheit 9/11.' I think Bush is a genius. I think Bush did some things this year that nobody in this room could do. ... Because Bush basically reapplied for his job. And can you imagine applying for a job and while you're applying there's a movie in every theater in the country that shows how much you suck at the job? It would be hard to get hired, wouldn't it? I watched 'Fahrenheit.' I learned some stuff. Bush did some things you could never get away with at a real job.

When Bush got into office, there was a surplus of money -- now there's like a $70 trillion deficit. Now just imagine you work at the GAP. You close out your register and you're $70 trillion short. The average person would get in trouble for something like that. Not Bush. Then he started a war. ... Now just imagine you work at the GAP. You're $70 trillion behind on your register and then you start a war with the Banana Republic because you say they got toxic tank tops over there. You have the war, people are dying -- 1,000 GAP employees are dead, bleeding all over the khakis -- you finally take over Banana Republic and find they never made tank tops in the first place."

Shame on the so called concept of freedom of speech. I'm sure most people would think it's unethical, and against the religion practised here which also plays a wide role in the construction our constitutional law. Laws are man-made and amendable for the greater benefit of the majority of the people. In the past under some circumstances even we have amended the Sharia of Law. I don't find any difference in selling alochol and the above mentioned two, under religious thoughts it falls under the same category if I'm not wrong.

Despite the fact that it is illegal to do such business, it's quite a public secret that things of such nature are practised in these modest and heavenly islands. The truth is not as pleasant as you always want to hear. Just recently I've receieved a fowarding mail which had an attachment of a .zip file named callgirls.zip with pictures of local girls posing nude and even smoking some kind of illegal shit (which I don't exactly know the details of). In the past decade we have experienced such events maybe rarely but getting frequent day by day. The million dollar questions are, can we put an end to these occurrences? Or can we atleast minimise the frequentness? Or would it grow in the future? All I know is the present strategy on such issues arnt that effective, it is growing like no other industry. I think it's high time we alter our policies and give it a thought before it gets too late. Since I took the subject into consideration I too would like to inject my thoughts upon it.

I think brothels should be legal. I think there should be a chain like Universal Hotels for working girls. I think what consenting adults want to do should be their business, and the way to crack down on traffickers, pimps and abusers is not to put the girls out of sight of the public. Do it professionaly, if people are indeed being trafficked into the country for sex work, then surely the solution is better passport control - a reason to promote our Immigration Dept. Staff. Accept it, It's the world's oldest profession. It won't go away. But we can be sensible about the approaches to managing it, instead of consigning girls to a flesh zoo.

And here comes the main issue, DRUGS!!! Manson says "I don't like the drugs but the drugs like me" which is the only truth for a crack addict who is trying to get rid of it. Did you know that Bill Gates don't even make half of what the drug traffickers do annually? ofcourse they don't get their names published on the Forbes billionaires list. It is the most money making industry in the world, for every 1000 addicts atleast one supplier becomes a millionaire.

Why do you think Columbian drug cartels traffic their cocaine into US when there is such a huge risk factor? when there are easier ports to deal with. I'll tell you why, cus of the high percentage of profit margin they gain. They're willing to pay them USD100 for a 1gm of cocaine, can you believe that shit! Atleast you have to catch 75% of whats brought in if you want them to run on loss. Then we look into our beloved nation and it's neighbouring countries, India and Srilanka. In these countries stuff you buy for like 1,000 ruppees you can sell the same with a profit margin of 1000%. Why would they stop? they won't, they're willing to do suicide bombing for a day's meal. Why woudn't they do drug-trafficking to Maldives? It makes sense, It woudn't stop. So let us think about the options we're left with.

If we could improve the security measures of the main two sources, both air and sea port with latest technological equipments and well trained staff. Not just a barking dog, cus it only barks all day and never bite. Instead of giving a lifetime sentence for the addicts, we could try rehabilitating them and focus more on the dealers and traffickers. When I say rehabilitation, I mean a substantial one unlike the existing establishment. Which lacks a detoxification programme and very well trained and experienced staff. We might also try and affiliate the same with an adult organistation like Narconon International.

A few thoughts. Nothing like a cohesive statement, I'm not a certain 'spokesman' for any party. Just a civilian who has a lot of free time.

It took him more than 25 years to realise it, in addition to that he needed a watch and yet another 22 sec to say this. type='text'>

There are more things even under this sky..

This is the 21st century and I sometimes feel like I don't belong here, maybe I do but I just don't want to accept the idea of being normal. It's just most of the times I can't corp with the present trends. I'm not actually trying to be unique or have a desire to purposely discourage interaction with common thoughts. To be honest I'm actually trying real hard to have similar likings.

Last night I was bored and alone at our usual spot (|am's x-room), since I had no mean of communication I was kinda stuck there, had no movies, something was wrong with the linuxbox and I coudn't login to windows partition since aE (|am's friend) has changed the password. Didn't have any flicks to catch up with, not anything worth watching twice. So I had two choices, either be different and take an aimless walk downtown or to watch the DVD of "The Dragon Ballz".

And guess what I chose to take the second option and was trying to give it a shot. But unluckily due to my busy social interactions an old friend gave a buzz asked to join him for a coffee. I wonder if I should be thanking the guy for rescuing me from the imminent ennui I'm gonna be in. Anyway so I coudn't watch it long enough to make a decision on it. Hope soon I can be that bored and see what is really in these Japanese Anime, whether they're worth watching even without subtitles.

I know.. I'm trying too hard and I sound mawkishly stupid while expressing myself, let me emphasise that I'm not, ironically, the most touchy-feely guy. Well, perhaps I'm the sort of person apt to do something for no good reason other than I can't think of a reason not to. Wonder who's the object of my envy this time.

Talking of Anime, take a look at this.. Crouching Bunny, Hidden Rabbit

1naz says:
feeling in the breath
when i was a sperm i was an athlete,
i was a fighter,
a battle-station on my own,
a speeding menace to all other sperms,
a turbulent vortex of will power to win and to be the only winner,
a beautiful and wonderous creation of God.
Today I am the result of that hasty "worm,"
the err of that selfish microscopic organic beast,
the fate of that brainless head, swimming in mere response to chemical chaos.
Today I am here without the slightest choice of "to be" or "not to be",
walking this Earth just 'cos that brainless head ended up first in its blind race.
or is it that I just am !

DynamicSleeping.php

During a recent web-expedition towards Narcolepsy, I found two pictures of our friend, Mr Inash Zubair who ofcourse you can see is a victim of the illness. Anything new, especially with respect to taste, is met with a certain amount of resistance because of the fear of the unknown. This sounds natural, but I've been recently noticing that there may be more fundamental reasons why some people fail to see any value in contemporary art.

Recently I've had a little misunderstanding with a friend of mine because I didn't like the work of the so called Film-Noir Director Mr David Lynch. As far as I know Lynch cheats his audience, pulling the rug out from under us. He throws everything the mix the long goal of confusing us. I don't think there would be anybody other than he himself can make sense out of his psychedelic visions.

Nothing makes any sense because it's not supposed to make any sense. There's no purpose or logic to events. Lynch is playing a big practical joke on us. He takes characters we have come to care about and obscures their fates in gibberish. Some people will undoubtedly decide this is all very deep and will find hidden meanings in everything, but they're giving Lynch too much credit. This is not good film making; it's immature and wasteful.

If his work is art then, "Dhon Annaaray's" directions should be masterpieces.

Fishy.. hmm.. something to do with me :S

Something Fishy..
The Dhiraagu Internet Awards 2003, has caused suspicion and outrage by some of the participants. And by the way she looked extremely cute, I wonder what has she done with her figure.Anyway thought about ol' times and remembered of an e-mail she sent on her 21st b'day. Take a look at it, I think it's interesting.

To Whom it May Concern:

On the day of my 21st year, I am hereby officially tendering my resignation as an adult. I have decided I would like to accept the responsibilities of an 8 year old again.

I want to go to McDonald's and think that it's a four star restaurant.

I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud puddle and make ripples with rocks.

I want to think M&Ms are better than money because you can eat them.

I want to play dodge ball at recess and paint with watercolors in art.

I want to lie under a big oak tree and run a lemonade stand with my friends on a hot summer's day.

I want to return to a time when life was simple. When all you knew were colors, multiplication tables, and nursery rhymes, but that didn't bother you, because you didn't know what you didn't know and you didn't care. All you knew was to be happy because you were blissfully unaware of all the things that should make you worried or upset.

I want to think the world is fair. That everyone is honest and good. I want to believe that anything is possible. Somewhere in our youth, we matured and learned too much.

There are nuclear weapons, war, prejudice, and abused children. Lies, unhappy marriages, illness, pain, and death. A world where companies poison our water and our soil, and children kill.

What happened to the time when we thought that everyone would live forever, because we didn't grasp the concept of death?

When the worst thing in the world was if someone took the jump rope from you or picked you last for kickball.

I want to be oblivious to the complexities of life and be overly excited by the little things again.

I want to return to the days when children played hide-n-seek outside instead of being glued to a television, when video games were as harmless as Pac Man instead of spine-ripping, blood-splattering mind numbers like Mortal Combat, and TV still had some shows on that weren't about sex, killing, and lies.

I remember being naive and thinking everyone was happy because I was. Afternoons were spent climbing trees and fences and riding my bike. I never worried about time, bills, or where I was going to find the money to buy clothes.

I used to wonder what I was going to do or be when I grew up, not worry about what I'll do if this doesn't work out.

I want to live simple again.

I don't want my day to consist of computer crashes, mountains of paperwork, depressing news, how to survive more days in the month than there is money in the bank, doctor bills, gossip, illness, and loss of loved ones.

I want to believe in the power of smiles, hugs, a kind word, truth, justice, peace, dreams, the imagination, mankind, and making angels in the snow.

So....here's my checkbook and my car-keys, my credit card bills and my 401K statements. I am officially resigning from adulthood. And if you want to discuss this further, you'll have to catch me first, cause, "Tag! You're it."

Tony Blair hit by condoms
Lucky they weren't filled with nookie soup instead of purple flour.

Beautifully Illustrated

Two Reasons to go to Massachusetts, you could study at MIT So had to reschedule my date, luckily she was kind enough not to make an issue. Yeah! I know first impression counts a lot. As for me I don't like waiting myself, so I know how it feels and what a turn off it is. But it went quite alright and things turned out well. Maybe she didn't like it much and maybe she was just being nice as a person. You'll never know how mysterious women can be at times, they surprise you. And sometimes those surprises don't turn out to be so positive.

I thought I'd be having a relaxed night after the date, but the whole night I was so busy didn't even knew how time went by. Coudn't even come back home and had to spend the night downtown. Slept very late at a friend's place. Woke up early morning around 7.00 at the sound of my alarm. Made a phone call to check if there was any urgent matter at work, luckily there wasn't so slept back and woke up around 11.00. Took a quick shower went out for breakfast had a a bite or two. There was still time left so went to a nearby saloon had a haircut. Came back to airport had a coffee with aE and "Vafaatheri" Waheed.

And here I am at work wasting time writing how interesting my life is. I wonder when the fuck do I work, do I even earn my pay? I work when I get a free time. That's My present motto and I like it very much and it also works out for me. Mostly I pretend to work and my boss pretends to pay me.

Bye for now, I think I'm gonna have some free time so in the meantime I'll try to concentrate on my daily routined job. Ciao!!

With a little help from my friend, aE

I haven't slept since last night, right now there's a lot happening in my mind and also my freaking living day-life. And here I'm stuck with another task, blogging myself. I actually had a plan to come up with my own when I was a bit free; maybe in the state of nirvana. Things didn't go according to my plan and I had to include it my so called acting busy schedule.
Suddenly God and a friend of mine decided that it was today that I should join the blogging society and start an online life of mine. So I thought I woudn't let them down and commence with this. And guess what! my friend, he even made a post with an introduction of mine (the first post). My default password was the classic "welcome" I love it, old and rusty. (oops i still haven't changed it).
I think aE was actually trying to register his own blog and coudn't cus his nick (ae) was already in use by some guy who was interested in Arts & Culture. Bad Luck! (Pls feel free to come up with an idea of a cool & short nick, and we'll probably feel free to ignore you.)
That's it for now, it's almost end of my work for the day. I gotta go rest a bit, take a nap. Have a date with a beautiful and interesting friend of mine. Hope I don't blow it off and come up with a lame excuse of being overslept. Wish me luck!
choose!!

Meet Me

yeah its yet another blog, you should be wondering what do i have to post in a blog, well everybody is doing it and here im joining the club, ill keep you guys updated
cheers
shaafish
